The conditions governing your use of TradieVerify Australia.

Last updated: 19 February 2026

Overview

Agreement to terms

Welcome to TradieVerify Australia ("we", "us", "our"), operated at tradieverify.com.au. By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website.

These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use TradieVerify. We may update these terms from time to time, and your continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Section 1

About our service

TradieVerify is a free tradesperson licence verification platform that aggregates publicly available data from Australian state and territory licensing bodies. Our service allows you to:

  • Search and verify tradesperson licences across all Australian states and territories
  • Access publicly available licensing data from official government registers
  • Browse educational guides and resources about hiring licensed tradespeople
Section 2

Data accuracy and sources

Public register data

All tradesperson licence data displayed on TradieVerify is sourced from publicly available government registers, including QBCC, VBA, NSW Fair Trading, DEMIRS, and other official state and territory licensing bodies. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government body.

No guarantee of accuracy

While we make every effort to keep information current and accurate, we do not warrant or guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any data displayed on our website. Licensing data may change between our updates. Data displayed on TradieVerify may be subject to delays, errors in source data, or inconsistencies arising from our data normalisation processes.

Government data licensing

The underlying tradesperson licence data is made available by Australian state and territory governments under their respective open data licensing terms (including Creative Commons licences where applicable). TradieVerify's use and presentation of this data does not alter or override the original licensing terms. You must comply with any applicable government data licence terms when using information obtained through our platform.

Section 3

No endorsement of tradespersons

The inclusion of any tradesperson's information on TradieVerify does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of that tradesperson's work quality, reliability, trustworthiness, or suitability for any particular project.

TradieVerify does not verify the quality of work performed by any tradesperson, investigate complaints, or assess the suitability of any tradesperson for your specific needs. We simply display publicly available licence data from government registers. A current licence does not guarantee competence, and a displayed licence status may not reflect the most recent changes.

Section 4

Your responsibilities

You acknowledge and agree that it is your sole responsibility to:

  • Independently verify all licence information directly with the relevant state or territory licensing authority before making any hiring decisions, signing contracts, or authorising work to commence
  • Conduct your own due diligence on any tradesperson you intend to engage, including confirming insurance coverage, obtaining references, and securing written contracts
  • Not rely solely on TradieVerify as the basis for any hiring, contractual, financial, or legal decision
  • Understand that licence data may be outdated — there may be a delay between changes in a government register and those changes appearing on TradieVerify
Section 5

Acceptable use

When using TradieVerify, you agree not to:

  • Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to extract data in bulk from our website
  • Reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit our content without prior written consent
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or overload our servers or infrastructure
  • Use information obtained from TradieVerify to harass, defame, or discriminate against any individual
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organisation
Section 6

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, TradieVerify Australia owns the intellectual property rights for the website design, layout, original content, guides, and compilation of data. This does not include the underlying government data, which remains subject to its original licensing terms.

You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. Any other use — including reproduction, modification, distribution, or republication — requires our prior written consent.

Section 7

Service availability

We do not guarantee that TradieVerify will be available at all times or without interruption. The website may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, server issues, or circumstances beyond our control.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without prior notice. You should not rely on the continuous availability of TradieVerify for time-sensitive decisions. We recommend bookmarking the relevant state authority website as a backup verification source.

Section 8

Disclaimer of warranties

"As is" basis

TradieVerify is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

No professional advice

The information on TradieVerify, including our hiring guides, glossary, news articles, and all other educational content, is for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, building, or professional advice. Always seek independent professional advice before making decisions based on information found on our website.

Section 9

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law and other applicable legislation, TradieVerify Australia shall not be liable for any:

  • Direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the website
  • Losses resulting from reliance on licence data, including hiring decisions based on information displayed on our platform
  • Interruptions, errors, or delays in the availability of our website or data
  • Actions of third parties, including tradespersons whose data appears on our platform
Section 10

Third-party links

Our website contains links to official government licensing registers and other third-party websites. These links are provided for your convenience and reference only. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. Accessing third-party websites is at your own risk.

Section 11

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TradieVerify Australia, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the website, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any rights of a third party.

Section 12

Privacy

Your use of TradieVerify is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference. By using TradieVerify, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy. Please review it carefully.

Section 13

Termination and access restriction

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to TradieVerify at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason — including but not limited to a breach of these Terms of Use.

Upon termination, your right to use the website will immediately cease. All provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability.

Section 14

Dispute resolution

If you have a dispute or complaint regarding TradieVerify or these Terms of Use, you agree to first attempt to resolve it informally by contacting us. We will endeavour to respond within 14 business days and work with you in good faith to reach a resolution.

If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may pursue formal resolution through the courts of Australia. Both parties agree to attempt mediation before commencing litigation, unless the matter requires urgent interim relief.

Section 15

Australian Consumer Law

Certain legislation, including the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010), may imply warranties, conditions, or guarantees that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified, or can only be limited to a certain extent. Nothing in these Terms of Use is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any such rights.

To the extent that our liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to your use of TradieVerify is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Where we are permitted to limit our liability, that liability is limited to, at our option, the supply of the services again or the payment of the cost of having the services supplied again.

Section 16

Governing law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of TradieVerify shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia, and you irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Section 17

Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Use is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be severed from these terms, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.

Section 18

Entire agreement

These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and TradieVerify Australia regarding your use of the website. They supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings, whether written or oral, relating to the subject matter of these terms.

Section 19

Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page with an updated "Last updated" date. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically. Your continued use of TradieVerify after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice through the website.
